All Are Invited to Worship with Us

At FLC we gather as a congregation every Sunday at 11 a.m. to worship and re-connect in fellowship. Worship at First reflects our mission of Making Faith Matter in this constantly changing world. Services at FLC are marked by dynamic preaching and the fusion of classical and modern worship music. All are welcome to join us for Holy Communion.

The liturgy, music lyrics, children's message, reflection and other graphics are projected on screen for easy congregational participation. Sunday service is also streamed online on Facebook Live for those who are uncomfortable or unable to attend in person.

Coffee is served before service and during fellowship time where our congregation have a chance reflect on a conversation prompt from Pastor Phil and connect with friends new and old.

All Are Welcome in Study

Here at FLC everyone is welcome at our studies and gatherings. From monthly Pub Night Gatherings, Soup Luncheons, Ladies Coffee Connect, Men's Lunch or Tuesday morning Bible study there is something for everyone to come together in Faith and community.

All Are Welcome in Ministry and Leadership

It is a Lutheran tradition to encourage and empower everyone in ministry. Most Sunday's you'll see our pastor leading service, but their real job is to work toward the day when everyone has a leading role. Come visit us and discover your spiritual gifts, build your skills, and get to work in whatever ways you are called.

All Children Are Welcome

Children and teens are an important part of the church family. They are welcome to participate in in all aspects of church life from Sunday worship, to study, ministry, and youth leadership. Families are invited to come on Sunday mornings and experience Power Zone Sunday School, starting with the children's message, a special time in service for children to hear scripture tailored to their needs followed by in a way desgined just for them followed by Sunday school, a fun time exploring Bible stories in a variety of different ways using our lectionary-based curriculum, "Whirl".

Teens will find a home in our youth group that meets Wednesdays from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. during the school year.

All Are Welcome to Communal Life

Like all relationships, church relationships can sometimes be messy. We invite everyone to join us in the the ongoing experience of life in our faith community. Like rafting on the Bow river there can be difficult to navigate rough patches, and smooth sailing. We guarantee that if you stick with us deep and lasting friendships will form. Within our community you will be comforted, challenged, hurt, healed, and forgiven. As in all things, God's grace will prevail and you will not be alone here. We know we are not perfect, but we are committed to forming a community of faith where God's grace leads the way.

All Are Welcome to Membership

At FLC we welcome all who wish into membership of the church. Talk to one of our staff or council members to start your membership journey.
